ORTHODONTICS

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities.

BRACES FOR CHILDREN

Orthodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on the detection, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial abnormalities. These issues are referred to as “malocclusion,” which means “bad bite” in technical terms. When the majority, if not all, of the permanent teeth, have emerged, definitive orthodontic treatment can begin.

In younger children, however, early treatment may be essential. You can achieve long-term results by eliminating the need for or lowering the complexity of future orthodontic treatment when early therapy is justified and suggested.

In many cases, early intervention using detachable appliances may spare the youngster from more complicated treatment later on. We provide dental braces for both children and adults in the UAE at BClinic.

BRACES FOR ADULTS

Adults are always apprehensive about orthodontic treatment because of the appearance, inconvenience, and time commitment. On the other hand, dental braces have become smaller, lighter, and easier to clean as technology has advanced, and they are considerably more pleasant.

We now have access to a whole new world of orthodontic materials that function better and faster. Adults who wish to improve their smile can choose from ceramic braces, invisible aligners, clear wires, and numerous other options.

Many people believe that braces are only used throughout childhood or adolescence. Times have changed, and statistics reveal that an increasing number of individuals are seeking orthodontic treatment to achieve the perfect smile they’ve always desired.

Adult orthodontic treatment has grown in popularity as it provides individuals with the benefit of improving their bite and aligning their teeth to enable perfect replacements of teeth lost due to tooth decay or gum disease.

With the presence of missing or drifting teeth, massive fillings or crowns, or teeth that have been significantly damaged or broken down, adult orthodontic treatment is also more complicated. It is recommended that you get specialist care to ensure that your treatment goes as smoothly as possible.

WHAT’S THE OPTIMAL TIME FOR BRACES FOR TEETH?

The optimal time to bring your young child to the orthodontist for their initial orthodontic evaluation is when they are seven years old! This enables the detection of potential problems early on. Some orthodontic issues are also best handled while children are this age.

These early warning signals could suggest that your child requires orthodontic treatment; it’s time to make an appointment for an orthodontic examination.

AESTHETIC ALTERNATIVES—SPECIALIST IN STRAIGHTENING TEETH

Here are some of the aesthetic alternatives accessible to our patients at BClinic:

  • Ceramic braces—tooth-colored brackets composed of composite material, stain-resistant in most cases; nevertheless, the modules (rubber bands) used to bind the wire to the braces may be stained by curries, tobacco, coffee, or other substances. The only disadvantage is that the steel wire is still visible.
  • Ceramic brackets with clear plastic tooth-colored wires—these are available as part of our system. It is a new product on the market that has been gaining popularity. However, food and drink staining of modules is unavoidable, and this technique is better suited to less complex cases.
  • Undetectable aligners—the treatment consists of many custom-made plastic trays that are nearly invisible. They’re better suited to cases that aren’t too complicated.
  • Hidden braces—also known as Incognito braces, are fully personalized braces that are hidden behind your teeth.
  • Self-ligating Ceramic braces—to move teeth fast and comfortably, our systems use tieless brackets and high-tech wires.
  • Temporary Anchorage Devices—also known as orthodontic micro-implants or microscrews, have the added benefit of reducing treatment duration and allowing individuals who have lost numerous teeth to achieve good results while having insufficient teeth for support.
